You've Been Weighed; You've Been Measured; and Now You Get Free Ice Cream

Tristan typically has been a very light eater, enjoying vegetables and fruits basically out of the womb. Lately, he's been on a kick of requesting specific foods. Yesterday he walked up to the fridge and asked for hot dogs. After I cooked them, he devoured two in a row.

Today, he was asking for ice cream. Jay and Julie thought it would be a good day to introduce the kids to
Bruster's which is an ice cream
stand (that also serves hotdogs). They give free miniature ice cream cones to kids that are shorter than 40 inches. Tristan stood right next to the sign, and sure enough, he qualified for the free cone.

He was kind enough to share a "sample" with Rylie, even though she qualified for a free cone of her own. When it was all said and done, they both enjoyed their first experience at Bruster's. Tristan got Cotton Candy Explosion and Rylie got Cake Batter. Jay and Julie didn't too much enjoy their desserts.

Working Out

Stacia and I started a workout program called Body For Life 2 weeks ago. We work out 6 days a week and eat right with one "free" day. We have seen good progress so far. Tristan sees us in the garage all the time (the workouts are LONG!) and decided he would try it for himself today. Oh yes, before you know it he will be buff and strong like his Daddy!

She Gets Into Everything

Yes, that's my wallet. Yes, that's the third time she's taken
everything out of it in the last 5 minutes. I think she's trying to
steal my identity or at least trying to acquire a fake id. Sorry
Rylie, you can't pull one over on me. I see that 80's ponytail. People
aren't going to think you're any older.

Lover Boy

We went to a friends house for a going away party tonight.
Tristan LOVED being around all the pretty little girls.
So, what's a handsome little boy to do? You guessed it.. He went up to each of them and gave them a KISS! It was pretty funny. It also just so happened that he had an accident in the car on
the ride over so not only was he kissing all of girlies but he didn't have pants on.. Only his undies. Another friend joked that he got that from his Daddy!! So funny. All in all it was a great night! Tristan in particular had a great time...He loved giving kisses and chasing the girls around saying "I'm gonna get you!!".
I can't wait to see what he is like as a teenager! Lord help us!

We'll miss you, Ready Family!! Have a great time in Arizona!!

Jesus Take the Wheel, Literally

Since when did they start making little religious icons at McDonalds?

Rites of Passage

In every culture, certain events and ceremonies mark the transition
from one stage in life to another. For example, in American culture
getting a driver's license, turning 21, or getting your first gray
hair are all marks of transition. Today, Tristan officially performed
the rite of passage from "baby" to full blown "kid": He drank the milk
leftover from his cereal bowl.

We love the Park!

Our kids LOVE the park. There is an elementary school across the street from our subdivision, and we like to take the kids there to play. There are 3 different playgrounds and they love it. It was so nice to take a walk as a family and hang out. Fun Times!
