Update

I know it has been awhile since we wrote a post that had anything substantial. Sorry about that! Everything is good at the Cruz Home. We are preparing for Tristan to turn 3 on Monday. With him turning 3 his little temper and attitude have really come out. I think he skipped over the terrible 2s and went straight into the terrible 3s. But, he is so cute, even when he is throwing his hands in the air and telling you "You're killing me, Mommy!" He had a day at home with Dad by himself yesterday and loved it! When Rylie and I got home he ran to the door and gave Rylie the biggest hug and said he missed her. Ah, he really does love her. We are having a Little Einsteins themed party for him on Sunday with some friends at church and our neighbors (if Anthony gets better, poor kid!). It should be a fun time. Yes, that is Super Bowl Sunday, but Tristan will never know the difference. Stay tuned for picture overload from his party. I am sure it will be a great time. Jay and I were even going to attempt to make a 3-dimensional cake in the shape of Rocket from Little Einsteins. But, that may be a little to ambitious for us.. Marble Slab ice cream cake it is! Anyway, Rylie is 19 months now and growing like crazy. (we get asked all the time if she and Tristan are twins!) I know this is gross, but she has had a problem lately of putting her hands down her pants after she has "gone to the bathroom" in her diaper and come out with lots of wonderful surprises. Needless to say this has made me and the babysitter none to thrilled. I am hoping to have solved the problem by putting her in a onesie under all of her clothes. Seriously, it has come to that. So gross. She is still asking to go to the bathroom, which is great. Maybe we will really be out of diapers soon?!? I also went through a few days of wanting another baby. Seriously, i guess I am crazy! Maybe it is seeing all the newborns and pregnant ladies around church that gave me the "itch". I am not sure. But, Jay gave me a dose of reality and I really don't think that is in the cards for us. At least not for a few years, and then, it is not likely that we would want to start all over again!! So, I guess it is up to God, but we are doing nothing at all (well, you know what i mean!) to try for it. That's the update, folks. Thanks for reading and keep the comments coming.. we love them!

Night Shopping with Ry

Night shopping with Rylie. (She's looking at the truck that is about to back up. I don't see it because I'm too busy trying to snap a shot of her.)

Look who got caught

Jay sent this to me while I was at work the other day. It totally made me crack up! Look at that face! He managed to pull a chair over to the island where he knew the chocolate cupcakes (our neighbors made for us) were. This was the end result. Little stinker, but I have to admit he is darn cute getting caught! Next time, just ask little buddy!

Sometimes convenience wins

Sometimes quality is sacrificed for convenience. I apologize to my

I like to mobe it, mobe it...

Tristan loves watching Madagascar. Most days he will sing the song, saying "I like to move it, move it"(though it sounds more like mobe it, mobe it!) spontaneously throughout the day It's so cute. He loves to be goofy in front of the camera (hence the shoe.. seriously?!?). Enjoy the video.

Sleeping bag

Stacia and I snagged some super deals today at Target. Including sleeping bag/backpack sets for the kids for $2.50 (including a flashlight and water bottle)! I think Stacia liked it more than Rylie... Or maybe she was just trying to be a good auntie and break it in. Looks cozy!

Fun at the Park

Yes, it is January 6th, but you wouldn't know it with the weather we have been having here in Atlanta! Today was a beautiful 70 degrees, so we took advantage of it and brought the kids to the park! Luckily, there is a really great one close to us that has huge lights so we can go even after it gets dark. We had a great time, as always! Rylie especially liked playing peek a boo with auntie, and Tristan loved to climb the rock wall. Ironically, another couple from our church were there with their daughter as well so we got to talk a little bit and actually introduce ourselves. It was great. Nice chatting, Jason and Gina!
Enjoy these videos everyone!

Mommy, I'm not scared..

So, I had the hardest time getting Tristan to take a nap today. He kept getting up and switching beds and coming out of his room, going into our room, etc. Finally, I decided I would just go lay down with him as I was exhausted. He kept up his antics so i told him, "Tristan, you are not making Mommy mad!" To which he replied, "Mommy, I'm not scared." Well alright then. Stinker! I couldn't help but laugh. Fortunately for both of us he went to bed shortly after. Oh the joys of toddlers, and their wonderful vocabularies.
