Twins are 8 months old!

Corban and Kinsley are 8 months old now! Kinsley just started crawling today and she can get to a sitting position from her tummy. Corban is behind her in this, which is typical for boys. He can get onto all 4s and rock, but hasn't started to move at all yet. They are both eating solid food and LOVE banana puffs. Their new favorite food is pumpkin and banana puree from Plum Organics. They love it. No teeth yet, and they are still waking at least 2 times each at night to eat. (Can you say tired Mama!) They are gaining such incredible personalities.. i love it!

Slacker!

Has it really been 3 months since my last post? Goodness, i am sorry to any of my readers who are still out there! Things have been crazy for us. We moved to Marina, and really love our new house. It is bigger and has a great backyard.. and is within walking distance to a great elementary school. That will be so great when Tristan starts Kinder in the fall! Other than that, we have been doing well. The twins are 6 months old, well really almost 7 months old. They can roll all over the place, sit up, are eating solid foods, and are on all formula. After much debate, we have decided to quit cloth diapering the babies. I am sad about that because they are just so darn cute. But, i was spending 5 hours every other DAY washing them and i just dont have that kind of time. Our washer is an HE one so it doesn't allow the necessary amount of water to pass through the diapers. So, sadly.. i am selling away our stash. Oh well. They are also sleeping pretty well through the night, usually only get up once at night.. but they must be growing right now because they are getting up WAY more lately! On October 11th my little sister Natalie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Cailey Anna. She was born without oxygen, and other complications.. despite the doctors best efforts she passed away 10 days after she was born, to the exact minute. I was able to fly to Idaho with the twins (thanks to my sister Nicole) to be with Natalie and Greg for the memorial. It was a very hard time. Very hard. This caused me to lose my milk supply. Too much stress. But, the twins are growing anyway! Prayers for Natalie and Greg and their continued healing and grief are appreciated. What a hard road. In other news, we have decided to travel to So Cal for Christmas this year. We will spend the beginning of the week with my family and then travel to San Diego to spend the rest of the week with Jay's family. Should be really fun. Anyway, that is the latest. Twins are 3 months old!

Seriously, where is the time going!? The twins turned 3 months old on August 13th. Their personalities are really starting to show. Corban is still super chill. He hardly cries, and when he does it is more of a wimper. He is smiling a lot and cooing all the time. We like to have full conversations cooing back and forth. It is adorable. Katelyn is still on meds for acid reflux and they seem to really be working! She is spitting up less and less and is no longer super fussy when she is eating! She smiles with her whole body, which you can see in some of the pictures attached to this post. They are sleeping 7-9 hours per night, (Corban even slept 11.5 hours one night!!) and are waking up more and more throughout the day. We are still using Softbums cloth diapers and really really love them. They are super cute and super easy. Pretty soon i should have enough so i won't have to wash every single night!! All in all i would say we are starting to get used to being a family with 4 kids. It is hard, but we love it. We are taking our first roadtrip to So Cal this weekend for my sister Nicole's reception. Celebrating 7 years of marriage!

7 years ago today (well, yesterday really) I married my best friend. The last 7 years have been filled with all kinds of happiness as well as plenty of trials in our marriage. I can say honestly, that today.. i love Jay more than the day i married him. We are stronger today because of the struggles we have faced and overcome. I cannot wait to see what our future will hold. My twin sister, Nicole got married on July 31st. I was unable to go to the wedding, but it looked absolutely beautiful. It made me think of my own wedding and how much love i felt on that day. Jay and I sat down and watched the slideshow of our wedding photos and it reminded me so much of that day. Happy Anniversary, Babe!
