Tortured!

This is what happens when Daddy makes you try on costumes! Poor kid!

Sink!

The kids got baths in the sink tonight. Rylie was a complete mess after spaghetti dinner so I planned to just give her a quick rinse but she loved it! Then Tristan saw her and wanted to join in on the fun! So funny! He is way too big for the sink bath... What do ya think??

Perfume

Tristan has become very resistant to naptime and bedtime lately. We usually let him at least start put in our bed and then move him to his room once he is asleep. The past few weeks he has been "exploring" what was in our room while we thought he was asleep. A few weeks ago I walked in to my room at night fully expecting to see Tristan asleep. Imagine my surprise when I saw baby lotion completely covering him from head to toe. I really should have taken his picture... His head was completely white.

Fast forward to yesterday... Jay asked Tristan to get his blanket and go upstairs for his nap. He says OK and heads to our room. It was quiet for a long (clue #1) time and then Jay heard a loud thud. He ran upstairs and opened our door to the overwhelming smell of my Ralph Lauren perfume! Tristan apparently got ahold of it and managed to get the top off and spilled it all over his head, body, blanket, and our bed. Nice. Seriously I like that scent but not enough to sleep in it!!! Needless to say the smell will not come out! Tristan got a bath and we washed his hair several times. No luck. Guess he will have to smell like a girl for awhile! :)

Isn't it funny.. When you put perfume on in the morning it rarely stays on the whole day. Then something like this happens and you wish the smell would just go away!!

You've Been Weighed; You've Been Measured; and Now You Get Free Ice Cream

Tristan typically has been a very light eater, enjoying vegetables and fruits basically out of the womb. Lately, he's been on a kick of requesting specific foods. Yesterday he walked up to the fridge and asked for hot dogs. After I cooked them, he devoured two in a row.

Today, he was asking for ice cream. Jay and Julie thought it would be a good day to introduce the kids to
Bruster's which is an ice cream
stand (that also serves hotdogs). They give free miniature ice cream cones to kids that are shorter than 40 inches. Tristan stood right next to the sign, and sure enough, he qualified for the free cone.

He was kind enough to share a "sample" with Rylie, even though she qualified for a free cone of her own. When it was all said and done, they both enjoyed their first experience at Bruster's. Tristan got Cotton Candy Explosion and Rylie got Cake Batter. Jay and Julie didn't too much enjoy their desserts.

Working Out

Stacia and I started a workout program called Body For Life 2 weeks ago. We work out 6 days a week and eat right with one "free" day. We have seen good progress so far. Tristan sees us in the garage all the time (the workouts are LONG!) and decided he would try it for himself today. Oh yes, before you know it he will be buff and strong like his Daddy!
