We made it!

First of all, let me apologize for the delay in updating our blog. As you can imagine, it has taken a bit of time to get settled here. Thank you for all of the prayers for our trip out here. The kids did so well. I was surprised. We made it to Albuquerque without much trouble. That Penske truck was massive so it took us longer than expected because we could only go about 60 mph. Rylie got sick in Albuquerque which delayed our travel that morning, but all in all it was a great trip. We have the kids rooms set up now which is the first thing i wanted to get done. I wanted them to have some sense of normalcy after all this change.

We have had a very difficult time finding an internet provider to come out here to set up something wireless. You would think we lived in the sticks or something!

Anyway, Jay starts work tomorrow and then thankfully has 3 days off like his normal schedule. His new commute will be pretty long at an hour each way, without traffic. We would appreciate your continued prayers as we try to adjust to life back in California. The kids are doing well. I don't think Rylie understands at all. She has been very good about just going with the flow. Tristan, on the other hand, is constantly asking about his friends and church back in Georgia which really breaks my heart. I know, in time, he too will adjust, and most likely forget them. That makes it even harder for me.

Just when we thought all of our Goodbyes were over we dropped Auntie Stacia off at the airport yesterday. I wasn't expecting to get so emotional but i could not stop crying. We love her. My kids have grown to love her VERY much and I am so sad that we will not get to see her every day. She was such a blessing to us and to our kids. We will pray every single day that she moves back so we can see her again. Rylie asks all the time, "Where's Auntie?" Sad day.

While Jay starts this new job I will be starting something new myself. I will be a stay at home mom. WOW. Who would have ever thought we would move to California and I would get to stay home. We could use prayers for this as well. It will be a transition for me as I am used to having a full time job, and my kids can be quite the handful. However, I am so grateful for this opportunity and I can't wait to see what our days will be like. So, this is what is going on with us. Feel free to shoot us an email and we will give you our new contact information. We really, really, really miss all of our friends back in Georgia and are really grateful that the Lord gave us the time we had with you all. I will post some pictures when we get our internet back up.
